Film a run, pick the seconds you like, and Boardsmania builds a kinogram: every phase of the turn, frame by frame, in a single image. See exactly what your body and skis do through the whole arc.
Three steps, a few minutes

Pick a run from your phone. Screen recordings from Instagram or Facebook work too: we crop away likes, comments and other app elements. - Choose the interval you want
Pick the seconds on a large timeline. If more people are in the shot, tap your skier. - Get your kinogram
It is built on our server. Lock your phone if you like: we let you know when it is ready.
More than one picture
Cutout
Cutout splits the finished kinogram into single figures. Look at each position on its own, zoom in, and save any phase to your phone gallery.
One by one
Step through the turn one figure at a time: only one position is shown, so nothing overlaps.
Cumulative
The figures are added one after another, so you watch the whole turn build up.
Compare
Put two kinograms on top of each other: this run against the last one, or against a kinogram from your coach.
History
Your last ten kinograms stay in the app. Save the ones you want to your phone gallery.
Outlines
When positions overlap, turn on outlines with one tap and every figure stands out.
How to get the best result
What works
Static camera, skier passes from the side
Keep the phone still and let the skier ride across the frame. Every position is clearly separated.
Camera below, skier turns towards it
Stand roughly in the middle between the left and the right turns, so the camera sees every turn from the side.
Zoom in a little
Zooming makes the skier bigger in the kinogram, but the picture gets less sharp and the contrast is weaker. Zoom only moderately.

What does not work
Follow camera loses the skier
If the skier slips out of the frame in the turns, positions are missing and the kinogram falls apart.
Follow camera changes the distance
When the camera gets closer and further away, every figure has a different size.
Short turns straight at the camera
Short, small turns right towards the camera pile the figures up on top of each other.
Zooming during the clip
The scale of the picture changes and part of the kinogram can stay empty.
Skier far away, fog or flat light
A small skier who blends in with the snow cannot be found reliably.
Clip with a cut
A cut or a swipe to another video inside the chosen seconds: the app refuses it.
