Boardsmania has no user accounts and does not track you. The only thing it handles is the video you choose yourself, and that is deleted within 24 hours.

Building a kinogram needs far more computing power than a phone has, so the video you pick is uploaded to our server and processed there. The app only ever receives the video you select yourself in the system picker; it cannot see the rest of your photo library.
The uploaded video and the pictures made from it are erased automatically at most 24 hours after processing. We do not keep copies, we do not look at them, we do not use them to train anything, and we never publish them or pass them to anyone.
The free version has a monthly limit on how many kinograms one phone can make. To count them, the app sends a randomly generated identifier that exists only for this purpose. It is not your Apple ID, your phone number or your device's serial number, and it cannot be used to identify you.
Our server keeps short-lived operational records (the time of a request and an error message when something fails) so that faults can be fixed. They are deleted within 30 days.
iOS asks for your permission twice: once when you pick a video, and once when a finished kinogram is saved to your photo library. You can change both at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Processing runs on servers operated by Modal Labs, Inc. (United States), which acts as our processor and does not use the data for its own purposes. Because this means your video is transferred outside the European Union, the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under the GDPR you may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to its processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
In practice there is rarely anything to hand over: your video is already gone within 24 hours. Write to info@boardsmania.com and we will answer within 30 days.
We process the video to deliver the service you asked for (performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The device identifier and the technical records rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the free service usable and working (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Boardsmania is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
